Ownership for Everyone.

The independent issuer of OWN, supporting its future and a wider field of useful applications.

OWN Token Foundation is the independent issuer of OWN. We maintain its official identity and supply record, care for its future and support useful applications. Our mission reaches beyond any single platform.

Why ownership matters

A short message on why ownership matters, and how the Foundation approaches clearer paths to it.

“At OWN Token Foundation, we ask: How can we make the path to ownership clearer?”

From the transcript

The Foundation issues OWN, cares about its future and supports its ecosystem. Each operator and contracting party remains responsible for its own services and agreements.

When we talk about ownership, we’re not just talking about having an asset. We’re talking about choice and the ability to plan for tomorrow.

But people don’t all start from the same place. Their incomes, budgets, and circumstances are different. Someone may know exactly what they’re working towards without being able to pay the full amount today.

At OWN Token Foundation, we ask: How can we make the path to ownership clearer?

A clearer path means knowing what you’re acquiring, what you’re committing to, and what rights you have. It means explaining costs and responsibilities.

We are the issuer and steward of the OWN token. That role is distinct from organisations offering acquisition arrangements.

We invite businesses, builders, and platforms to explore more informed choices about ownership.

The right to own is for everyone. The opportunity should be too.

A wider idea of ownership

Ownership can support choice, independence and the ability to plan. It should be easier to understand and more practical to pursue.

OWN is our starting point. We welcome proposals for tools, services and education that give the token a useful role.

A useful ownership experience makes clear what people can receive, what it requires and who is responsible.

One billion. One mint. One contract.

1,000,000,000OWN

OWN is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Its complete supply of 1,000,000,000 OWN was created in one genesis mint, directly in the specified recipient wallets. Minting and initial allocation occurred together.

One supply, four original purposes: access inventory, platform utility, the Foundation and the original team. Allocation and vesting describe the history and availability of those units; neither is a measure of today’s circulation.

A defined beginning. An open future.

The token has an identity. Its applications can grow.

One existing token

OWN has a defined origin and fixed supply. A new application can use existing OWN without creating a new token or changing its identity.

Independent applications

Each service needs a responsible operator, a useful purpose and its own terms. Supporting an idea does not make the Foundation its operator.

BitLease provides the first application. Other uses remain proposals until separately established.

Identity worth checking

A name or symbol can be copied. Token identity comes from the correct network, the full deployed-contract address and the records behind it.

Start with the official identity, then check the evidence.

Official contract particulars are still pending on this site. Our guide explains how to read the evidence; it does not yet verify an address.

A first application: BitLease

BitLease provides the first application of OWN. The Foundation issues the token and maintains its identity and supply record.

BitLease Capital Ltd holds the OWN Access Pool. Read about its role and the related arrangements on its own website.

The relevant providers remain responsible for their services and agreements.

Access and utility are different

Access concerns how someone acquires OWN. Utility concerns the services in which it can be used. Information about the Access Pool and related arrangements is available from BitLease Capital.

Holding OWN does not automatically confer ownership of another asset or access to every service. Each provider governs its own offering.

Build something useful with OWN

Have an idea for a tool, platform, educational resource or research project? Show how existing OWN could serve people better, who would run the work and what evidence supports it. The Foundation welcomes proposals beyond BitLease.

Explore a path for your own token

Businesses can also learn from OWN when considering their own token and acquisition route. Your company and chosen operator define the asset, terms and responsibilities; BitLease is one possible provider.

What makes an application worth building?

  1. A useful purpose
  2. A responsible operator
  3. Clear terms
  4. Evidence to examine

A useful purpose

Who benefits, what becomes easier and why does OWN belong in the experience?

A responsible operator

Who will provide the service, support its users and meet its obligations?

Clear terms

What can people receive, what does participation require and which limits apply?

Evidence to examine

What research, prototype or operating evidence makes the proposal credible?

A proposal starts a conversation. It is not an announced partnership, a deployed integration or a promise of support.

What could ownership become next?

OWN has a defined origin. Its next useful application begins with a clear idea and people prepared to develop it. Explore the mission or bring a proposal with a purpose, an operator and evidence. Wider opportunity is an ambition, not a guarantee of access or outcomes.
